QR 13 Stachys Sylvatica (Hedge woundwort)
The 17th Century physician and astronomer, Nicholas Culpeper, referred to this plant as Betony. He suggested that: "The fumes of the decoction while it is warm, received by funnel into the ears, eases the pains of them, destroys the worms and cures the running sores in them".
